As a sparetime contributor, Joachim Meyer helped porting hipSYCL to Windows, improve the stability and spec conformance as well as with code reviews. During his graduate studies at Heidelberg University, he pursued a project and his thesis integrating LLVM-based deep loop fission approaches to greatly improve its CPU backend performance. The main implementation providing continuation-based synchronization is integrated into hipSYCL.
